The biggest change happened in the V flow and scoop rocker line along the bottom of the boards. The front section of the board features a significantly increased Vee combined with double concaves making the board super comfortable and effortless to sail. Starting between the straps and towards the tail, the Vee becomes less pronounced resulting in a very curvy rail line and thinned out rails. This is responsible for the outstanding manoeuvrability and grip during turns and further improves the wave heritage of these boards. The rocker was reduced along the centre, not only boosting the performance level in blasting mode but also resulting in a more comfortable stance due to the loose and stable water position of the new shapes.

By popular demand, 2022 sees the return of the Pro Edition! Coming with the same layup as the Freestyle boards, the FSWs now feature a Carbon Innegra deck! (also see technology)
Additionally, all Pro Edition sizes come with the JP Foil-Powerbox and are ready for foil action! Even the small FSW 78 features this reinforced fin box which probably makes it the smallest board for foiling on the market. This box widens the total wind range and opens the options for this new discipline of 'flying'. All Freestyle Waves come with thruster fin boxes: The main Powerbox and two side fin boxes and covers (PRO: with two small side fins).

New G-10 fin: The Pro Edition boards now also come with a new fin shape featuring more area towards the tip. The new curvy outline comes with a smooth swept back rake angle. Thus, in combination with the new carbon Side Wave fins, the new G10 fin provides more drive and a secure, steady ride in combination with outstanding manoeuvrability.

It has been said before and has to be pointed out again: The Freestyle Wave concept is the ideal option for 99% of coastal-sailing recreational windsurfers. The Freestyle Wave offers so many tuning options that it can be set up perfectly for any given day, no matter what the conditions. It's an ideal all-round high wind board for both, blasting and bump&jump sailing. It also shines as a powerful, all-round wave board for lighter winds, heavier sailors or difficult conditions and is great fun especially for huge jumps and fast carves in side to side onshore conditions.
