What is the difference between Swift Alu and Swift Carbon?+
Same wing design — different mast and fuselage. Alu version is more durable, robust and affordable — ideal for beginners, progression and riders who want a quality foil without the carbon premium. Carbon version is lighter and stiffer with more direct energy transmission and higher top speed potential.
Which size should I choose for wing foiling?+
For most riders (70–85 kg) the Swift 10 (1000 cm²) is the best all-round starting point — works in a wide wind range and is easy to pump up. Lighter riders or stronger winds → Swift 8. Beginners or light wind → Swift 12 or 14. When in doubt, go bigger — it is always easier to progress on a larger wing.
Can I mix Carbon and Aluminium Glide components?+
No. Aluminium fuselages fit Aluminium masts only. Carbon fuselages fit Carbon masts only. However, all Glide Swift and Glide Surf front and tail wings are cross-compatible — they fit on any Glide fuselage regardless of material. So you can use Swift 10 front wing on both Alu and Carbon setups.
What is the difference between Swift Carbon and Swift Alu?+
The Carbon version uses a High Modulus Carbon mast and Carbon fuselage — significantly stiffer and lighter than Alu. More direct feel, better energy transmission when pumping, and higher top speed potential. The Alu version is more affordable and robust — great for learning and progression without breaking the bank.
Which back wing do I need?+
Use Tail 210 with front wings Swift 6, 8, and 10. Use Tail 270 with front wings Swift 12 and 14. The larger tail wing provides more stability and pitch control for bigger front wings.
Is the Glide Swift good for beginners?+
