DESIGNER'S COMMENT

Fusion is now available in HD construction only and is a great alternative to pure wave or freeride sails. The 2018 Fusion is more maneuverable than ever and adapts itself depending on the playground; progressive aspect ratio with short boom, small foot area and at batten pro le in small sizes, while bigger sizes increased boom length provides necessary drive in light winds. In design and performance Fusion sits perfectly between Atlas and Ryde in the crossover program.

CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY

NeilPryde sails are built tough, designed to withstand the most extreme riding conditions and the test of time. Extra muscle and twice the endurance are achieved with twin seams and ArmourWeb reinforced construction. This, together with our Forceline technology, provides the backbone of NeilPryde sail strength and unmatched durability.
So go as hard as you like and then some.

ARMOR WEB

ArmourWeb is constructed from full polyester lines at +/-40 degrees, creating an interlaced, woven web for high tear resistance. Available on Fusion / Ryde / Speedster / V8 / DragonflyAvailable on all sails except EVO8, LT1, RS:X, RS:One.

ARMOR ULTRA

High-strength rip-stop grid made of high-tenacity ULTRA yarns at +/-40 degrees. This yarn has a similar breaking strength to KevlarTM, but much better UV resistance. Available on Fly / Combat / Atlas / Wizard.

CUSTOM PRINTING

Our custom printing technology allows us to print the films prior to lamination giving us the flexibility to use multi-coloured, custom graphics. The print is of minimal thickness, reducing weight and producing a higher definition of colour. During lamination the printed side is placed on the inside of the film so there is no need to worry about wear. Your sails will forever remain looking bright and fresh.

FUSE POCKETS

Overlapping body panels create a sleeve for battens, eliminating the need for traditional, separate batten pockets. This saves on unnecessary weight, simplifies construction and creates a fully symmetrical batten cavity, eliminating the tendency of traditional batten pockets to load differently from one tack to another.

POWERFUSE

Powerfuse is a whole new way to reinforce and lighten the sail body by using an innovative material fusion method. Doing away with unnecessary patch reinforcements, seams and stitches, we created fully integrated, laminated panels of variable thickness that support localised loads and strengthen the sail where it needs it most.

TWIN SEAMS

Double stitching is used on all critical seams on all sails allowing them to endure prolonged exposure to high loads and impacts.

Sail Shaping

Sail shaping balances the speed and power of a sail with control and handling. Shaping lower down in the sail will produce a little less power but increases manoeuverability. Shaping higher up in the sail creates more drive and low-end power.In the performance oriented sails this extra power is easy to control due to the profile stability supported by cams and tube-battens. In the manoeuvre and wave oriented sails, low shaping distribution provides uncompromised manoeuverability.
